Blork's bookmarklet
    • Here's a screen shot of the window that pops up when you click the bookmarklet.
    • Here's how you install and use the bookmarklet.
    • 1. Visit your Blork website.
    • 2 In the menu at the top of the screen, click on the Links command.
    • 3. On that page, you'll see a section called Bookmarklet.
    • 4. Drag the bookmarklet to your browser's toolbar.
    • When you're on a page you want to link to, click on the Blork bookmarklet in your toolbar.
    • It pops up a window with the fields filled in with the elements of the post.
    • When you click the Post button, after a short delay the post is published and the window closes.
    • Click on the product name, Blork, in the upper left corner of the window, to get to the full user interface.
    • I've tried to tune it up so it's got all the elements you need to post links, and it's easy to get to all the controls for the times when you need to reconfigure the app, or find one of the readouts or feeds. The idea is you'll use Blork more often just to shoot a link out to your followers. This should be streamlined, fast, and even fun. So I wanted to take the complexities out of the way.
    • Prior art was TBUZZ and the bookmarklets of other news feed services, including ones we developed at UserLand.
    • There needs to be a command in the popup window that clears all the fields. This is why I was posting links to my Gmail account today. I forgot that there are invisible fields, that store the full URL and other stuff. No way to clear those manually.
    • Also need to figure out how to set the font on the text entry boxes for link and title.
